Rhinoscopy involves visual assessment of the nasal cavity using a rigid or flexible fiberoptic endoscope. Clinically rhinoscopy has distinct advantages over other examination techniques. Rhinoscopy is noninvasive, allows direct visualization of the nasal mucosa, allows adequate sample collection, and is much less traumatic than surgery.
